Story
The year 2024 has been a year of complete surrender which has been transformative to my faith. I let go of trying to control the plans of my life and laid them before the Lord. Trusting in the sovereignty of God has led me to see the beauty in His perfect timing and faithfulness.
As I entered my final semester of college as a student teacher, I felt incredibly blessed to support the learning of various students. Throughout this journey, my faith and passion for teaching continued to grow, and I have developed a strong desire to serve God’s kingdom. Recently, it has been especially rewarding for me to work with non-English speaking students. I have had the privilege of connecting with these students and supporting their learning both inside and outside of the classroom. Working with these students was new to me but I quickly found great purpose and overwhelming joy for how God could use me. My passion for teaching and love for children partnered with my calling to serve has led me to Togo, Africa!
In Togo, I will serve as an intern for the 6 Degree Initiative, where I will participate in children's sports camps, ministry site construction, and leadership training in local churches, all with the goal of spreading the gospel among some of the world's least-reached people groups. Serving in Togo will allow me to connect with children on a deeper level, better understand different cultures, and glorify God in the process. It will also be an incredible opportunity for me to experience mentorship and explore my passions, purpose, and calling as I deepen my relationship with the Lord.
